My Life in Chocolate Chip Cookies
It took me years to realize how I really feel about chocolate chip cookies
One of my first memories of baking Bisquick Chocolate Chip Cookies is in the kitchen of my childhood home on a long summer day. It was a rare treat to be allowed in the house in the daytime hours of the summer when I was growing up in Ohio, but somehow, I convinced my mom to let me and my neighborhood playmate, Catherine, in to bake cookies.
We made a mess, I’m sure, but mostly what I remember is how Catherine and I ate the raw dough, even though we knew we shouldn’t, and talked about how, when we were grown-up, we would make batches of cookie dough and wouldn’t bake the cookies, we would just eat it straight out of the bowl as our dinner. That was what adulthood meant to us-freedom to do whatever we wanted.
