Books and Memories for GenXers
Book recommendations, memoir essays, and more for women of a certain age.
It is almost August and I’m going to do what the French do and take a little break, but I thought I would gather-up some suggested reading recommendations before I go.
If you are looking for something to read this summer, here are some of my favorite booklists.
In the Spring, I created The Syllabus Series and the first round of it was a four week, self-guided course on Classic Children’s Literature. Here’s all the lessons:
Introduction to The Syllabus Series
Week One: Mary Poppins & Finding Time to Play into Adulthood
Week Two: Anne of Green Gables & Nature
Week Three: The Little Princess & Remembering Summers Past
Week Four: The Borrowers & Reconnecting with Past Interests

Oh, looking at the date...I was moving. Well, that explains that! Anyway, that was great. And the Sugar Thief - my very favourite!
