When I saw the title I thought it was a play on National Lampoon's Vacation. But it was an actual hotel! Wow, the excitement I felt in the rare occasions we stayed in a hotel as a child. A hotel with a POOL? This was the height of luxury as far as I was concerned. Usually we'd have those little individual boxes of cereal for breakfast but sometimes we had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and honestly that was the apex of travel for me. I still love a good hotel, although I rarely take advantage of a hotel pool anymore. I love seeing little kids in the pool though (did that sound weird? I did not mean to sound like a weird perv. You know what I mean.)

OMG a hotel with a WATER SLIDE? I don't remember staying in any of those when I was small but I think we did when I was a teen and I died of happiness.

I'm so sorry you're in such a rough moment in time right now. xoxoxo

We had those mini-boxes of cereal on vacations too. With four kids, it just wasn’t feasible for us to have all our meals out.

I also had visions of National Lampoon's Vacation. I'm glad you didn't run into the Griswolds, though that movie always made my dad laugh no matter how many times he'd seen it.

The scene of all of you holding hands is very sweet. I'm glad you had some good memories from this trip.

It’s funny that everyone thought it was about National Lampoon’s Vacation. Back in the day, everyone thought my dad looked like Chevy Chase!
