My mom always told me that if you get the type of fear mixed with excitement, you're headed for the right thing. And I'm so happy you're putting an end to self-doubt; imposter syndrome is also the worst. This is also a very encouraging post, because I'm planning to switch to an English Literature Major and my family's lack of support is very discouraging, especially when I'm at this age where self-discovery feels like a second-puberty.

I can't wait to read about the exciting things you'll be working on. Congratulations on your new adventure!

I'm sorry you are struggling. I remember being your age and it is like a second a puberty, and let me tell you my age is like a third! I know how you feel about the English major thing. My daughter has chosen that for her major and a lot of people are asking me why I would allow that. As someone with a degree in Comparative Literature, I have a strong bias that a humanities degree can be used in many ways. I myself, eventually got an MBA and have had successful careers over the years. That being said, I am sure your family just wants the best for you and are coming from a place of love. Thinking of you!

Thank you! To the university I'm transferring to, there are SO MANY electives I can choose from. I'm willing to allow myself to take photography and marketing classes as well additional to the concentration ones; there are so many things I want to try! I don't want to limit myself to a single degree, so it makes me glad to hear about your MBA. I wish you the best as you embark on a new journey!
